Fear-No-More Zoo in California is part of The Mountain of Attention Sanctuary and served by formal devotees of Avatar Adi Da Samraj. It is situated on over 1,000 acres of mountainous and grassy lands, with a sacred core empowered with temples and ashram life. The non-human residents are regarded as fellow spiritual practitioners and are cared for by the principles of Fear-No-More Zoo to nurture and enhance their naturally contemplative dispositions.
This large acreage of land is also home to wildlife including many migratory birds, hawks, raven, coyote, bobcat, fox, mountain lion, bear, lizards, snakes, squirrels and the vast lot of many others. It is also home to a handful of cats and a young Labrador. Over this large acreage the camels, horses, and llamas each have each their own territories and habitats.
The camel’s valley alone is close to 300 acres, and is naturally fenced by the shape of the land. The horses are settled in an area of about 10 acres with smaller paddocks for seasonal management, and the llamas are nestled into a beautifully terraced hillside along the core of the sanctuary overlooking temples and sacred sights. A year-long creek and a set of small ponds runs through the llama enclosure including a small bamboo forest.
Over time we plan to develop a trail system for contemplative walk-about, forest management practices, and greater migratory patterns.
