There are a lot of other birds at the Danda that live in the bird aviary. They are semi wild and are able to fly about the aviary. Marianne Faaij is the principal carer of the birds and has done an amazing job over the years of creating a really beautiful and fun environment for them to live in. In order to mimic their natural habitat she has made little cups that hang everywhere in which she places food, allowing the birds to forage and search for their food as they would in the wild. This keeps them moving and creatively engaged which keeps them happily busy. They also have an indoor space for when the weather is really bad.
